If so, an interesting paper to start with (by Joe LaViola -- Brown Univ) is "Analysis of Mouse Movement Time based on Varying Control to Display Ratios using Fitts’ Law". You can find it by searching http://citeseer.nj.nec.com. If you are interested in experimental work that explores how a match (or mismatch) between the input space of the hands and the output space of the screen can affect user performance, you may wish to download "The Role of Kinesthetic Reference Frames in Two-Handed Input Performance" by Ravin Balakrishnan and Ken Hinckley. The reference list in this paper is quite extensive and may lead to a paper that answers your question. You can also find this paper on citeseer. Also, if you find that you must search the internet, I believe you will find a great deal more written on this topic in the psychological literature than in computer science. [On the other hand, I promise that you will find navigating your way through PsycINFO or the APA website much more difficult simply because of the volume of data there, and the need to have a good idea of what you're looking for.] Good Luck, Rob King PhD student in Modeling and Simulation Old Dominion University Ji-Young Oh wrote: > > Hi, > > I thought it would be faster if I ask it directly to you than searching > for it in the Internet. > > Could anyone direct me report on effect of correspondence between input > and output space on user performance? > Saying that again, does anybody kno
